Texas Roadhouse Baked Salmon (Print-Friendly Version)

Baked salmon fillets with Southern spice, garlic, and lemon for a juicy, vibrant, weeknight dish.

# What You'll Need:

→ Salmon Preparation

01 - 2 salmon fillets (approximately 170 grams each)
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
05 - 1 teaspoon paprika
06 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
07 - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
10 - Juice of 1 lemon

→ Garnish

11 - Fresh parsley, chopped
12 - Lemon slices

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and arrange skin-side down on a lined baking tray.
02 - Brush olive oil evenly over each fillet. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle spice mixture over both sides of the salmon.
03 - Drizzle the juice of one lemon over the fillets, ensuring even coverage.
04 - Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 52–54°C for medium doneness, or to your preferred level of doneness. Remove promptly to prevent overcooking.
05 - Transfer salmon to serving plates. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and lemon slices before serving.

# Additional Tips:

01 - If using skin-on fillets, bake with the skin side down to retain moisture; the skin removes easily after cooking if desired.
02 - Salmon will continue to cook after removal from the oven. For optimal results, use an instant-read thermometer to reach the desired level of doneness.
03 - Accompany with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, rice pilaf, or a crisp salad for a complete meal.
04 - Fresh lemon juice yields the best flavor, but lime juice can be substituted if preferred. For variety, pair with pineapple salsa or mango chutney.
