Boil 2 cups (480 ml) of water and pour into a large heatproof pitcher. Add black tea bags and allow to steep for 10 minutes.

In a saucepan, combine the remaining 2 cups (480 ml) of water with diced mango. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, mashing the mango as it softens into a puree.

Strain the mango mixture through a fine sieve into the pitcher with the steeped tea, discarding the mango solids. Add honey and stir thoroughly until fully dissolved.

Allow the iced tea to cool to room temperature. Serve over ice cubes and, if desired, garnish with fresh mango slices.
