Mango Iced Tea Refreshment (Print-Friendly Version)

Chilled black tea pairs with sweet mango and honey for a fruity refreshment ideal for warm afternoons.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea
02 - 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced, or an equivalent portion of frozen mango cubes
03 - 4 cups (960 ml) water, divided
04 - 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
05 - Ice cubes, as needed

# How to Make It:

01 - Boil 2 cups (480 ml) of water and pour into a large heatproof pitcher. Add black tea bags and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
02 - In a saucepan, combine the remaining 2 cups (480 ml) of water with diced mango. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, mashing the mango as it softens into a puree.
03 - Strain the mango mixture through a fine sieve into the pitcher with the steeped tea, discarding the mango solids. Add honey and stir thoroughly until fully dissolved.
04 - Allow the iced tea to cool to room temperature. Serve over ice cubes and, if desired, garnish with fresh mango slices.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For a vegan adaptation, replace honey with agave syrup or maple syrup.
