Frozen Cherry Coke Slush (Print-Friendly Version)

Icy mix of frozen cherries, Coke, and lime juice delivers a balanced, refreshing frozen beverage.

# What You'll Need:

→ Beverages

01 - 840 ml Coca-Cola, chilled, divided
02 - 120 ml bourbon, dark rum, or Campari (optional)

→ Fruit

03 - Juice of 2 limes
04 - 300 g frozen pitted cherries
05 - 1 lime, thinly sliced into wheels
06 - Maraschino cherries, for garnish (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Pour 360 ml (1 1/2 cups) Coca-Cola into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, about 3 to 4 hours.
02 - In a blender, combine lime juice, bourbon (if using), and remaining Coca-Cola (use 480 ml if no bourbon, or 360 ml if bourbon is added). Add the Coca-Cola ice cubes and frozen cherries. Blend until smooth and icy, about 1 to 2 minutes, scraping down the sides if needed.
03 - Pour the mixture into chilled glasses. Garnish each with a lime wheel and a maraschino cherry if desired.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Layering ingredients in the blender starting with liquids, then ice cubes, then cherries ensures optimal blending and frostiness.
02 - Make ahead by freezing Coca-Cola cubes and cherries in advance; thaw slightly before blending.
03 - Optional addition of bourbon or rum complements the flavor without overwhelming the drink.
