Preheat oven to 175°C. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll chocolate chip cookie dough into 4 cm balls and arrange on prepared sheets, spacing apart.

Bake cookies for approximately 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool completely.

Once cooled, slice each cookie horizontally into halves to create a top and bottom piece.

Mix several drops of red food coloring into vanilla frosting and stir until evenly blended. Spread a thin layer of red frosting onto each cut surface.

Arrange mini marshmallows along the round edge of half the cookie halves to resemble teeth. Top with remaining cookie halves. Insert a slivered almond at each side to mimic vampire fangs, pressing gently to secure.
