Upside-Down Brie Bites (Print-Friendly Version)

Flaky puff pastry wrapped creamy brie drizzled with honey and topped with fresh chives.

# What You'll Need:

→ Cheese

01 - 8 mini Brie rounds

→ Pastry

02 - 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed

→ Sweetener

03 - 60 ml honey, divided, plus extra for drizzling

→ Egg wash

04 - 1 large egg, beaten

→ Garnish

05 - Finely chopped fresh chives

# How to Make It:

01 - Roll out the thawed puff pastry to approximately 1.5 times its original size. Use a 9 cm circular cookie cutter to cut 8 rounds.
02 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon small dollops of honey (around 7.5 ml per bite) onto the parchment. Score the surface of each Brie round and place them on top of the honey dollops. Wrap each Brie tightly with the puff pastry rounds.
03 - Press the edges of the pastry with a fork to firmly seal and prevent the pastry from puffing unevenly during baking.
04 - Brush the wrapped Brie bites evenly with the beaten egg. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
05 - Transfer the baked Brie bites to a serving platter. Sprinkle with finely chopped fresh chives and drizzle additional honey on top before serving.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For best results, use chilled puff pastry and avoid overworking it to ensure flakiness.
