Air Fryer Sweet Chili Chicken (Print-Friendly Version)

Chicken and Brussels sprouts come together in a sweet chili glaze—quick, balanced, and full of flavor.

# What You'll Need:

→ Protein

01 - 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 450g)

→ Vegetables

02 - 2 cups Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

→ Sauce and Flavorings

03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
05 - 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
06 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon ground ginger
09 - 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for added sweetness)
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# How to Make It:

01 - Set the air fryer to 190°C and allow it to preheat while preparing other ingredients.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and honey if using. Set aside the marinade.
03 - Pat chicken breasts dry, season lightly with salt and pepper, then coat on all sides in the prepared sauce.
04 - Arrange coated chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping once halfway, until caramelized and the internal temperature reaches 74°C.
05 - While chicken cooks, toss halved Brussels sprouts with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
06 - Once chicken is done or nearly finished, add seasoned Brussels sprouts to the air fryer basket. Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway for even color and crispness.
07 - Let chicken rest for several minutes, then slice against the grain. Serve with crisp Brussels sprouts and drizzle any remaining sauce from the basket for extra flavor.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Ingredients may be doubled for larger servings, but avoid overcrowding the air fryer for optimal caramelization and texture.
02 - Boneless chicken thighs, pork tenderloin, or tofu can be substituted as the protein source. Adjust cooking times as needed.
03 - For extra heat, incorporate red pepper flakes or sriracha into the sauce.
04 - Brussels sprouts can be prepped ahead and refrigerated for efficient meal assembly.
