Whimsical cheese ball featuring creamy textures and festive toppings for holiday gatherings.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dairy

01 - 227 g cream cheese, softened
02 - 120 ml sour cream
03 - 225 g shredded cheddar cheese

→ Seasoning

04 - 2-3 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix

→ Coating and decoration

05 - 115 g chopped pecans
06 - 2 pretzels (for antlers)
07 - 2 black olives (for eyes)
08 - 1 cherry tomato (for nose)
09 - Crackers, for serving
10 - Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

# How to Make It:

01 - In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sour cream together using a hand mixer until smooth and well combined. Allow cream cheese to reach room temperature to facilitate mixing.
02 - Add shredded cheddar cheese and 2 tablespoons of ranch seasoning mix to the dairy mixture. Beat until evenly combined. Taste and, if desired, add an additional tablespoon of ranch seasoning and mix again to enhance flavor.
03 - Place a large sheet of plastic wrap on a flat surface. Transfer the cheese mixture onto the plastic wrap and shape it into a ball using the wrap to assist. Twist the wrap securely and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours or overnight to firm up.
04 - Remove the chilled cheese ball from the fridge and place onto a plate or shallow bowl filled with chopped pecans. Press the pecans evenly around the cheese ball to coat its surface.
05 - Insert two pretzels atop the cheese ball to serve as antlers, pressing them firmly to stand upright. Attach two black olives for eyes and a cherry tomato for the nose. Secure these decorations with toothpicks or pretzel sticks if needed.
06 - Arrange crackers around the cheese ball and optionally garnish with fresh herbs for a festive presentation. Serve immediately.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For best texture, ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature before mixing. The mixture will firm up as it chills, allowing easier shaping and slicing.
02 - Prepare up to three days in advance and keep refrigerated, adding pecans and decorations just before serving to maintain freshness.
