Tender chicken breasts smothered in a decadent cream sauce with fresh herbs - a restaurant-quality meal easily made at home.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Protein

01 - 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

→ Sauce Components

02 - 1 cup heavy cream
03 - 1/2 cup chicken broth
04 - 1/2 cup white wine (optional)
05 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

→ Aromatics & Seasonings

08 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
10 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Cooking Base

11 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

# How to Make It:

01 - Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.
02 - In the same pan, sauté finely chopped onions for 2-3 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Pour in white wine (if using) and simmer for about 2 minutes to reduce.
03 - Add chicken broth to the pan and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in heavy cream. Allow sauce to cook for about 5 minutes until it begins to thicken. If needed, create a slurry with a little flour and water to thicken the sauce further.
04 - Return chicken to the pan, spooning sauce over each breast. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over chicken and allow it to melt into the sauce.
05 - Just before serving, sprinkle with fresh parsley and basil. Serve immediately with your choice of sides, offering extra sauce on the side.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Allow chicken to rest for a few minutes after cooking before slicing to retain juiciness
02 - Fresh herbs significantly enhance the flavor profile but can be omitted if unavailable
03 - For mild heat, incorporate a pinch of red pepper flakes into the sauce
04 - Use a non-stick pan to prevent chicken from sticking during the cooking process
05 - Select a quality drinking wine for the sauce as it will impact the final flavor
