Marsala Mushroom Meatloaf (Print-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 ½ lbs ground beef
02 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 cup breadcrumbs
05 - 2 large eggs
06 - ½ cup milk
07 - 1 tsp salt
08 - ½ tsp ground black pepper
09 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
10 - 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

→ For the Marsala Sauce

11 - 2 tbsp butter
12 - 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
13 - 1 clove garlic, minced
14 - ¾ cup Marsala wine
15 - ¾ cup beef broth
16 - 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (slurry)
17 - Salt and pepper, to taste

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and parsley until well combined.
02 - Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or form into a loaf shape on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
03 - While the meatloaf bakes, prepare the Marsala sauce. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook until tender, about 6–8 minutes.
04 - Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Pour in the Marsala wine and beef broth. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.
05 - Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
06 - Slice the meatloaf and serve with generous spoonfuls of the warm Marsala mushroom sauce on top.
