Oven Baked Chicken Thighs (Print-Friendly Version)

Juicy chicken thighs with crispy skin glazed in a sweet and tangy honey-mustard sauce ready in just 40 minutes.

# What You'll Need:

01 - 2 pounds chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on
02 - 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
03 - 1 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste

→ Sauce

04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
05 - 1 tablespoon whole grain Dijon mustard
06 - 1 tablespoon mustard
07 - 2 tablespoons honey
08 - 6 cloves garlic, minced
09 - ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 425℉.
02 - Place the chicken thighs in a bowl and season them generously with salt and pepper.
03 - Whisk all the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
04 - Pour the sauce over the thighs and toss them well.
05 - Transfer the chicken thighs to a 9x13-inch baking dish including any remaining sauce. No need to grease the dish.
06 - Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until the chicken thighs have an internal temperature of 165°F and skin is crispy.
07 - Transfer the chicken to a serving plate, cover with aluminum foil, and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Boneless skinless chicken thighs can also be used but will require less baking time, about 20 to 25 minutes.
02 - Honey mustard glaze is optional. For a simpler recipe, season the thighs with salt and pepper, drizzle olive oil in the baking dish and bake.
03 - Stored well, the baked chicken lasts up to 3 days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze it in an airtight container for 4 to 6 months.
