# What You'll Need:

01 - 450 grams ground beef
02 - 15 millilitres olive oil
03 - 1 medium onion, chopped
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 4 to 5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

06 - 165 grams shredded cheddar cheese
07 - 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese

→ Seasoning

08 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
09 - 0.5 teaspoon paprika
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Liquids

12 - 120 millilitres beef broth or water
13 - 60 millilitres milk, optional for creaminess

→ Garnish

14 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C. Lightly grease a 33x23 cm baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
02 - Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking up the meat until fully browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
03 - Stir in chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until onion is soft and fragrant. Remove skillet from heat.
04 - Spread the beef, onion, and garlic mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
05 - Arrange the thin potato slices over the beef in slightly overlapping layers for even cooking.
06 - Evenly sprinkle salt, black pepper, dried Italian seasoning, and paprika over the potato layer.
07 - Scatter shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan evenly over the top.
08 - Pour beef broth or water gently around the edges of the dish. For extra creaminess, drizzle milk over the top layer before covering.
09 - Cover dish tightly with aluminium foil. Bake for 30 minutes to soften the potatoes.
10 - Remove foil and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden and bubbling.
11 - Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot from the oven.
