01 -
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt unsalted butter. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir continuously until fully melted and glossy. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
02 -
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together white granulated sugar and packed light brown sugar until evenly blended.
03 -
Add eggs, vanilla extract, and salt to the sugar mixture. Whisk thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and slightly aerated. Incorporate the cooled chocolate-butter mixture and mix until homogeneous.
04 -
Sift in all-purpose flour and unsweetened cocoa powder. Gently fold with a spatula until the batter is just combined and no dry flour remains.
05 -
Add roughly crushed Oreo cookies and fold gently to distribute them evenly throughout the batter.
06 -
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line a 20 x 20 cm baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
07 -
Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Optionally, sprinkle extra chocolate chips and additional crushed Oreos on top for added texture.
08 -
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center emerges with a few moist crumbs.
09 -
Allow brownies to cool in the dish for a minimum of 20 minutes. Lift out using the parchment, slice into squares, and serve.
