12 - ¼–½ tsp chipotle chili powder (optional)
13 - ¼ tsp ground black pepper

→ Avocado Salsa

14 - 2 ripe avocados, chopped
15 - 1 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered (or 2 Roma tomatoes)
16 - Kernels from 1 ear of fresh corn
17 - ⅓ cup finely chopped red onion
18 - ½ red bell pepper, chopped
19 - 1 jalapeño, diced (seeds optional)
20 - 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
21 - 1 garlic clove, minced (or ¼ tsp garlic powder)
22 - 2 tbsp lime juice
23 - ¼ tsp ground cumin
24 - ¼ tsp salt
25 - ⅛ tsp black pepper (or more to taste)

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine all marinade spices, lime zest, lime juice, and olive oil in a bowl. Coat chicken breasts evenly with the mixture.
02 - Let chicken rest at room temperature for 30 minutes or refrigerate up to 8 hours for deeper flavor.
03 - Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
04 - Place chicken on the pan and cook undisturbed for 3 to 5 minutes per side until nicely seared.
05 - Reduce heat to medium, cover the pan, and cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
06 - Remove chicken from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
07 - In a bowl, mix all salsa ingredients except the avocados thoroughly.
08 - Refrigerate the salsa base for at least 30 minutes to develop flavors.
09 - Just before serving, gently fold the chopped avocados into the chilled salsa base.
10 - Top sliced chicken with the avocado salsa and serve warm.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Use firm, ripe avocados to maintain a fresh texture and avoid mushy salsa.
02 - For additional heat, include jalapeño seeds or increase chipotle chili powder.
03 - Chicken thighs can be substituted for breasts for a juicier result.
04 - Store chicken and salsa separately to preserve texture and freshness.
05 - Avocado salsa may darken slightly due to oxidation but remains safe to consume.
