Crockpot Smothered Chicken Legs (Print-Friendly Version)

Slow cooked chicken legs with savory gravy, bell peppers, and onions for an effortless comforting meal.

# What You'll Need:

→ Protein

01 - 1 kg chicken drumsticks

→ Gravy Base

02 - 1 packet (about 30 g) brown gravy mix
03 - 300 g cream of chicken soup
04 - 250 ml water or beef broth

→ Vegetables

05 - 1 medium onion, sliced
06 - 2 bell peppers, sliced

→ Seasonings

07 - 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
08 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
10 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
11 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

# How to Make It:

01 - In the slow cooker, whisk together water, brown gravy mix, and cream of chicken soup until smooth. Stir in half of the sliced onions and bell peppers.
02 - Place chicken drumsticks into the slow cooker. Sprinkle with seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Arrange the remaining onions and bell peppers on top of the chicken.
03 - Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6 hours, until the chicken is very tender and cooked through.
04 - Serve hot, spooning generous amounts of gravy and vegetables over the chicken. Pair with mashed potatoes or rice if desired.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For extra tenderness, cook on the low setting to allow the chicken to become fall-off-the-bone juicy.
02 - The gravy thickens as it cools, so stir before serving for an even texture.
