Season the chicken with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, ranch seasoning, onion powder, and paprika. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Return the chicken to the pan and coat it in the sauce. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked. If using cheddar cheese, stir it in during the last 2 minutes until melted and smooth.

Serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh finish!
