# What You'll Need:

→ Pasta

01 - 340 g penne pasta

→ Sauce

02 - 28 g unsalted butter
03 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 16 g all-purpose flour
05 - 480 ml whole milk
06 - 240 ml heavy cream
07 - 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 2.5 ml salt, adjust to taste
09 - 1.25 ml ground black pepper
10 - 5 ml Italian seasoning (optional)

→ Garnish

11 - Chopped fresh parsley

# How to Make It:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
03 - Sprinkle flour over the garlic and whisk continuously for 1 to 2 minutes until the mixture forms a smooth paste and cooks through.
04 - Gradually pour in whole milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
05 - Stir in grated Parmesan, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning if using. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until cheese is fully melted and sauce is smooth.
06 - Add cooked penne to the skillet and toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
07 - Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top before serving.

# Additional Tips:

01 - Use freshly minced garlic for a more robust flavor and grate Parmesan cheese fresh for the creamiest texture.
