Golden dough filled with gooey mozzarella, pepperoni, and marinara, baked crisp for an effortless comfort meal.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dough and Base

01 - 450 g refrigerated pizza dough
02 - All-purpose flour, for dusting

→ Sauce and Cheese

03 - 240 ml marinara or pizza sauce
04 - 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
05 - 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

→ Filling and Toppings

06 - 20–25 slices pepperoni
07 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
08 - 1 large egg

# How to Make It:

01 - Set oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Lightly dust the work surface with flour and roll pizza dough into a rectangle of approximately 25 x 35 cm.
03 - Crack the egg into a small bowl and beat until smoothly combined.
04 - Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 2.5 cm border around the edges. Layer shredded mozzarella and arrange pepperoni slices to evenly cover the cheese.
05 - Starting from the longer side, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Pinch all seams and tuck both ends underneath to seal.
06 - Transfer to the prepared baking sheet with the seam facing down. Brush the surface with egg wash, then sprinkle evenly with Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese.
07 - Bake in the hot oven for 20 to 25 minutes until the exterior is golden and crisp.
08 - Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes after baking, then slice and serve.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For a vegetarian option, substitute pepperoni with vegetarian sausage or vegetables such as sliced bell peppers or mushrooms.
02 - Letting the baked roll rest before slicing helps prevent the cheese from oozing out.
03 - Parmesan cheese is optional and can be omitted for a dairy-free version.
