Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers (Print-Friendly Version)

Bell peppers filled with sirloin, mushrooms, onions, and melted cheese for a hearty, colorful dinner.

# What You'll Need:

01 - 4 bell peppers, halved
02 - 1 large onion, sliced
03 - 454 g cremini mushrooms, sliced

04 - 680 g sirloin steak, thinly sliced

05 - 16 slices provolone cheese

→ Seasonings and Oils

06 - 15 ml vegetable oil
07 - Kosher salt, to taste
08 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
09 - 2 tsp Italian seasoning
10 - Freshly chopped parsley, for garnish

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 163°C. Place halved bell peppers in a large baking dish and bake until tender, approximately 30 minutes.
02 - Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until tender, about 6 minutes. Incorporate thinly sliced sirloin steak, season again with salt and pepper, and cook while stirring occasionally for 3 minutes. Mix in Italian seasoning.
03 - Line the bottom of each baked pepper half with a slice of provolone. Fill with the steak and vegetable mixture, then top with another slice of provolone. Broil until cheese is golden and bubbly, approximately 3 minutes.
04 - Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the stuffed peppers before serving.
