# What You'll Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

→ Ricotta Filling

02 - 240 g ricotta cheese
03 - 60 g grated Parmesan cheese
04 - 20 g fresh basil, finely chopped
05 - 2 g garlic powder
06 - 2 g onion powder
07 - 2 g dried oregano
08 - 1 g red pepper flakes

→ Assembly and Topping

09 - 15 ml olive oil
10 - 60 g breadcrumbs
11 - 3 g salt
12 - 2 g ground black pepper
13 - 250 ml marinara sauce
14 - 120 g mozzarella cheese, shredded

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with spray.
02 - Arrange chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and rub evenly over each breast.
03 - Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and ground black pepper.
04 - In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan, chopped basil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes.
05 - Stir thoroughly until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
06 - Spread an even layer of ricotta mixture over the top of each chicken breast.
07 - Distribute breadcrumbs uniformly across the ricotta layer on all chicken breasts.
08 - Transfer the baking sheet to the oven. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the chicken reaches 75°C internal temperature and the ricotta topping is golden brown.
09 - While baking, warm marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally.
10 - Once baked, remove chicken from oven and spoon a few tablespoons of marinara sauce over each breast.
11 - Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the sauced chicken.
12 - Return chicken to oven and bake an additional 5 minutes, or until the mozzarella is fully melted and bubbling.
13 - Remove from oven and let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
14 - Plate the chicken and serve with extra marinara sauce on the side, if desired.

# Additional Tips:

01 - For extra brightness, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the ricotta mixture before spreading over the chicken.
02 - Broil the chicken for the last 2–3 minutes for a crispier top layer.
03 - Substitute breadcrumbs with almond flour for a reduced carbohydrate option.
04 - Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad.
05 - Prepared marinara can be replaced with homemade for personalized flavor.
