01 -
Preheat oven to 190°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with spray.
02 -
Arrange chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and rub evenly over each breast.
03 -
Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and ground black pepper.
04 -
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan, chopped basil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes.
05 -
Stir thoroughly until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
06 -
Spread an even layer of ricotta mixture over the top of each chicken breast.
07 -
Distribute breadcrumbs uniformly across the ricotta layer on all chicken breasts.
08 -
Transfer the baking sheet to the oven. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the chicken reaches 75°C internal temperature and the ricotta topping is golden brown.
09 -
While baking, warm marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally.
10 -
Once baked, remove chicken from oven and spoon a few tablespoons of marinara sauce over each breast.
11 -
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the sauced chicken.
12 -
Return chicken to oven and bake an additional 5 minutes, or until the mozzarella is fully melted and bubbling.
13 -
Remove from oven and let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
14 -
Plate the chicken and serve with extra marinara sauce on the side, if desired.
