Set oven to 200°C and line a 28x18 centimetre casserole dish with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

Pat chicken breasts dry. Evenly coat both sides with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Place seasoned chicken breasts in prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle dehydrated chopped onions evenly over the top.

Pour barbecue sauce evenly over chicken, ensuring pieces are well coated and sauce reaches underneath each breast. Dot the tops with butter.

Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 74°C.

Remove chicken from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juices and allow glaze to set.
