Combine shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.

Wrap each seasoned shrimp with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. If desired, sprinkle each wrapped shrimp lightly with brown sugar for a sweet glaze.

Place the bacon-wrapped shrimp on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring the pieces do not touch.

Bake for 15–20 minutes, turning once halfway, until bacon is crisp and shrimp are cooked through.
